ANTI-CORROSION
(high corrosion resistance) : strong corrosive resistance for
forming passivation film(Oxide film)
Oxidized Titanium
film formed on the surface is strong, having a great effect on
prevention of corrosion into the inner part of a material, and
the film is recovered immediately after it is destructed.. Especially,
it has high corrosion resistance against chlorine ion and has
a merit in chemical process industry, marine structures and biomedicine.
Low thermal expansion coefficient and thermal conductivity
The melting point
of pure titanium is 1668กษ, lower than iron(1536กษ), and its thermal
expansion coefficient and thermal conductivity are low(15W/Mk)
High 'Yield strength/tensile strength' ratio.
Titanium has
high stress resistance for the tensile strength, and especially,
titanium has more than 90% of stress resistance.
Good reactivity to impact.
Pure titanium
has better strength at low temperature than at normal temperature.
In addition, other metals are broken suddenly at low temperature,
but Titanium alloy is not.
